Do you know all the services available to you in Poinciana? The 2024 District 3 Community Resource Network Event takes place on Wednesday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Valencia College’s Poinciana Campus. This is a chance to see the wide range of information, services and opportunities in our area, including housing and community services, veteran services, Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, Osceola Community Health and other agencies. This is a free event for Osceola County residents, giveaways and raffles will be held. For more information, call 407-742-3422.

April is water conservation month!  This month is observed nationally to educate the public about how to manage water resources wisely, and to promote the need to conserve water.

Double C Bar Ranch Blueberries opened last weekend. This blueberry U-pick-‘em farm is a fun filled day out in the country about 15 miles south of St. Cloud at 4200 Canoe Creek Road on the way down to Kenansville. In addition to the $6 per pound blueberries, there are oak-fire grilled burgers, fresh lemonade, jams and jellies, desserts and a farm store with asserted gifts available to tantalize your taste buds.

Poinciana News -- Intersection expansion requires closure of a Poinciana street

Starting Monday, Hemlock Avenue in Poinciana at the Marigold Avenue intersection will be closed for what officials say will be 45 days. The reason for this closure is to add a dedicated right and left turn lanes along the northbound and southbound roadway to the Marigold Avenue intersection. Other improvements include a new sidewalk, drainage and resurfacing to prepare the intersection for a proposed light.
