Concert reps say a third “larger-than-life” guest to come
The 2024 installment of Country Thunder Florida won’t be at Osceola Heritage Park for another six months, but country music fans now have two-thirds of the headliners for the weekend-long festival coming Oct. 18-20.
Thursday morning, concert officials released that CMA and Billboard Country chart veterans Bailey Zimmerman and Jon Pardi will headline two of the days.
At the same time, Country Thunder Music Festivals CEO Troy Vollhoffer said Country Thunder Florida has one more major headliner in store — “A record-breaking, hit-making icon whose name will be revealed in the very near future,” a Country Thunder release said. “This mystery headliner is guaranteed to bring the house down with a show-stopping performance that fans won't want to miss … When the curtain rises and the spotlight shines on this phenomenal artist, it will be an unforgettable moment for everyone.”
Zimmerman comes into the local show off the white-hot momentum of his album “Religiously. The Album,” which became the biggest streaming country debut of all time, Vollhoffer said. The single “Religiously” entered the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and No. 7 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart on its way to becoming Zimmerman’s third straight No. 1 single.
The multi-Platinum earned 2023 nominations from the Billboard Music Awards, ACM Awards, People's Choice Country Awards and CMT Music Awards. Fans have streamed his music more than 3.5 billion times to date.
Pardi, a CMA and ACM award-winning singer, songwriter and producer, has reached No. 1 with his singles “Head Over Boots,” “Dirt On My Boots,” “Heartache on the Dancefloor,” “Heartache Medication,” and he’s become iconic in country thanks to his albums California Sunrise, Heartache Medication, and Mr. Saturday Nights.
The three-day lineup also includes Nate Smith, Russell Dickerson, Mitchell Tenpenny, Priscilla Block, ERNEST, Niko Moon, Restless Road, Dallas Smith, Emily Ann Roberts, Clayton Mullen, Calder Allen, Annie Bosko, and Alana Springsteen — with, of course, the suspense of a final headliner to announced “in the coming weeks,” Country Thunder officials said.
