It’s that time of year again where daily storms and potential tropical storms bring heavy rain. Roads, sidewalks, parking lots, roofs and other hard surfaces make it difficult for the ground to soak up all the rainwater. Instead, water runs off the pavement picking up pollutants along the way.

The Poinciana Council will host an open Board meeting on Tuesday, July 25 from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at Valencia College’s Poinciana Campus to discuss the Southport Connector and Poinciana traffic. Breakfast is at 8:30, with a CFX presentation on the Southport Connector at 9 a.m.
