A 60-day Polk County project to remove and replace a failing drain pipe has started, and this work will close Laurel Avenue just north of the intersection of Marigold Avenue for 30 days. Traffic will be detoured along Marigold, Hemlock Avenue and Pine Street. Local community roads can be used as shorter options for local residents and daily commuters to Laurel Avenue Elementary School. Peak hour traffic delays are expected, so add extra time for trips in this area.
