Starting Monday, Hemlock Avenue in Poinciana at the Marigold Avenue intersection will be closed for what officials say will be 45 days. The reason for this closure is to add a dedicated right and left turn lanes along the northbound and southbound roadway to the Marigold Avenue intersection.

The 30th Annual Battle at Narcoossee Mill takes place this weekend, the fourth weekend in March, the 23rd and 24th at 2700 Chisolm Park Trail beginning at 9:30 a.m. both days (battle begins at 2 p.m.). Admission is $10, kids 5-11 $5 and under 5 are free.
