St. Cloud forms Veteran’s Advisory Committee to recapture “Soldier City” spirit

After an initial meeting in August, the St. Cloud City Council has approved a slate of actions for its newly created Veteran Advisory Committee, including a combined veteran’s resource fair and a community market. The event is scheduled for Nov. 9 on Veterans Day weekend.

Fans of comic books, magazines, toys, cosplay and Sci-Fi fun turned out Saturday for the annual Fandom Kissimmee event at the Kissimmee Civic Center, where everybody’s favorite heroes and villains from comics, TV, film, and games came alive.

Osceola Pulse tribute comes under fire

A memorial or tribute to the 2016 Pulse night club shooting, one of the gravest acts in Central Florida history, is appropriate and should be built.Just not at Brownie Wise Park, which residents and nature enthusiasts adamantly say was set aside for conservation and animal habitats.
