GUEST COLUMN “Good evening, my fellow Americans. “I want to speak frankly with you tonight about a reality that the nuclear powers have so far refused to acknowledge as the arms race goes forward unchecked.

Vine St., Kissimmee. It is currently on display at the museum. Tickets are being sold for chances to win the gingerbread village. (Above is just one example.) The winning ticket will be selected at the Dec. 15 Christmas at the Village event.

Rain chances up to 50% through Saturday

weather watching There is going to be quite a bit of cloud cover, and about a 40 to 50 percent chance of showers through Saturday. High temperatures will range from the upper 70s to low 80s.

Liberty High’s Christelle Bonzil accepts scholarship to Rice

SCHOLARSHIP SIGNING Track and field star Christelle Bonzil will be an Owl. The Liberty High School senior will attend Rice University on a full scholarship after signing an athletic grant-in-aid in a ceremony at the high school on Friday.

Orlando SeaWolves fall to Baltimore Blast, 14-5

Following their loss to the Florida Tropics on Thursday, the Orlando SeaWolves traveled up to Maryland, falling to the Baltimore Blast 14-5 on Saturday. The SeaWolves fell into an early hole, down 5-0 in the first quarter, a hole they could not climb out of.
