Overstreet Landing Boat Ramp closing for repairs on May 18

The Overstreet Landing Boat Ramp on Lake Kissimmee at 4500 Joe Overstreet Road will close to boat launching activities starting Monday May 18, through Friday May 22. The county is performing repairs to the dock access and will need the entire ramp closed to expedite these needed repairs.

It’s been a minute, but on Friday, May 15, the Poinciana Branch Library (as well as all of the other Osceola Branch system’s libraries) will reopen. The libraries will be open Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Sheriff's Office investigating a homicide

The Osceola County Sheriff''s Office is investigating a homicide. On Saturday, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 2317 Old Dixie Highway in Kissimmee Florida, in reference to a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found Cornell Omar Clarke dead inside the home.
