Saturday, Dec. 18 was Wreaths Across America Day. Over 100 people and numerous veterans, youth, and civic organizations laid donated wreaths on veterans’ graves at St. Cloud’s Mount Peace Cemetery. They joined over two million volunteers at 3,136 participating locations across the U.S.

The search continues for Paola Miranda-Rosa, an Osceola County woman missing since Friday, where she was last seen in Orlando. Crews are currently searching Wekiwa Spring State Park in northwest Orange County, where her car, a black 2011 Chevrolet HHR, was found Tuesday.

The Osceola County Courthouse is now officially the Judge Jon B. Morgan Courthouse, after a public dedication ceremony Friday. The Osceola County Commission passed the name-change resolution in February, and the lettering on the façade was installed in the fall.
Rather than select one of three groups who have made proposals to operate an emergency shelter or bridge housing, City Commissioners chose to be the owner-operators of a facility to be built.
