Local charity A Hero For Kids held its 2021 Kids Christmas 4 The Kids distribution Dec. 11 at the Staples Plaza in St. Cloud, joined by other members of the local business community. Hundreds of children who were pre-registered through school guidance counselors received gifts.

This week, HCA Healthcare North Florida Division announced  David Shimp as Osceola Regional Medical Center's new Chief Executive Officer. He takes over for Davide Carbone, who served that role since 2017 and announced his retirement earlier this year.

7 arrests made in October West 192 hookah bar deadly shooting

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office has made a total of seven arrests in the Oct. 9 shooting death of a 23-year-old woman outside the Red Star Hookah Bar on West U.S. Highway 192. Sheriff Marcos Lopez said he needed to wait to comment on the case until all suspects were in custody.

Three Kings Day festival returns Jan. 9

Osceola County’s 17th annual Three King’s Day celebration, presented by the Kissimmee/Osceola County Chamber of Commerce, returns to Old Town on Sunday, Jan. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Good news and bad news from St. Cloud council meeting

Utility rates may be going up in 2022 in St. Cloud, But it’ll be easier to stroll downtown with a drink to worry less about it. Orlando Utilities Commission, who provides power to much of the city, proposed a pair of rate increases it plans to ask for in the next six months.
