Osceola wrestlers found success in the elite Gold Bracket, as Anderson Heap and Cooper Haase claimed championship round titles at the two-day Danny Bryon Memorial Invitational that wrapped up Saturday afternoon at the Kowboys Gym.

When sophomore Cooper Haase manhandled Venice’s Bryce Taranto in the 120-pound championship final last March, it gave Osceola High School an individual state wrestling champion for a 15th consecutive year.

Over the past couple of seasons, Osceola’s swimming program has enjoyed resurgence and that upward trend continued on Friday when senior Noah Maniace signed an athletic scholarship to swim at West Virginia University Institute of Technology, a NAIA school located in Beckley, W.V.
