A 25-year-old woman from Kissimmee was killed on Interstate 4 near State Road 528 just after midnight Tuesday when the Florida Highway Patrol said her car collided with a pickup truck in a construction zone.
The crash occurred around 12:20 a.m. in the westbound lanes near mile marker 72. Troopers say the victim's Hyundai Elantra struck the rear of a Ford F-750 that was facing southward on the interstate. The impact caused her car to rotate and then strike the left side of the truck, the crash report said.
The woman, who FHP says was not wearing a selt belt, was partially ejected from the vehicle.
She was pronounced dead on scene. The crash remains under investigation.
