A Kissimmee woman was killed Wednesday afternoon when the Florida Highway Patrol reports she was struck by an eastbound vehicle on West U.S. Highway 192.According to FHP's report, around 4:43 p.m. a Ford Fusion was approaching Westside Boulevard, west of Interstate 4, in the inside lane.

A pair of now-former Osceola County Sheriff’s Office employees have been arrested in connection with unauthorized use of computer databases to look up sensitive department information, Sheriff Chris Blackmon announced.

Earlier in July, the Kissimmee City Commission approved the formation of a Civilian Police Oversight Board, a panel tasked with reviewing Kissimmee Police Department policies and procedures and aims to strengthen transparency, accountability, and public trust in local law enforcement.

TUESDAY UPDATE: Osceola County is under a rare Extreme Heat Warming for Tuesday.It's as serious as it sounds. It's above and beyond the Heat Advisory issued every day since Saturday by the National Weather Service in Melbourne.

News Service of Florida -- About 100 undocumented immigrants have been deported from an airstrip adjoining the detention center dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz,” and “the cadence” of outgoing flights is increasing, Gov. Ron DeSantis said Friday.
