How to ‘Share Your Christmas’ Friday

It’s the season of giving—and the annual Share Your Christmas food and fund drive is doing just that.

In its 40th year, the donation drive surpassed its Giving Tuesday goal of $400,000 by raising $487,177 to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. Representatives were on hand taking donations at the St. Cloud Holiday Festival last weekend, and those who would like to donate can do so on Friday across six drop-off locations across Central Florida from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Osceola County official drop-off location is in the Celebration Town Center.

“It’s always wonderful to see Celebration’s residents giving back to the larger community,” said Susan Bona, owner of the Celebration Town Tavern. “We’re thrilled to support Share Your Christmas again this year, and help those in need especially during the holiday season.”

“There is so much excitement around the station, getting ready for Share Your Christmas. The entire team loves to spend time in all areas of Central Florida, meeting viewers who care about helping our neighbors as much as WESH 2 does,” said Marci Golgoski, Executive Producer of Special Projects, who has overseen Share Your Christmas at WESH 2 for 14 years. “The fact that this campaign has lasted 40 years is a testament to our dedication to the cause, but also the community’s commitment to helping one another.”
