The Osceola County Historical Society hosted its 33rd Pioneer Day on Saturday featuring live demonstrations and reenactments throughout Pioneer Village including wool spinning, sewing, blacksmithing, wood carving, the sport of cricket, and more.
Plus, visitors could experience Seminole demonstrations and enjoy live music, magic shows, pony rides, animal exhibits, booths from local organizations, food and craft vendors, and a kids zone.
Pioneer Village, located on Babb Road in Kissimmee, hosts a permanent collection of authentic structures—a general store, post office, schoolhouse, church, train depot, homesteads from Osceola settlers, and more—that once stood in areas throughout Osceola County and were relocated and preserved, to show how early pioneer families and Florida Seminoles lived off the land.
