B.A.S.S. ‘26 Open and College schedules start in Kissimmee

The B.A.S.S. pro fishing tour is opening its Open series 2026 schedule on the Kissimmee chain, the tour has announced.

Meanwhile, the 2026 Strike King Bassmaster College Series and Junior and High School series will also come to Lake Tohopekaliga to start those seasons. The Bassmaster College, High School and Junior Series continue to spotlight the sport’s brightest young talent while providing unforgettable opportunities on world-class fisheries.

"Lake Toho in Kissimmee has long been considered one of the premier trophy bass lakes in the country," B.A.S.S. noted this week.

The High School/Junior Series will fish Lake Toho on Jan. 18, and the College Series Legends Trail will stop in Jan. 22-23.

The first stop in Division 1 is Jan. 29-31 on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes. The St. Croix Bassmaster Opens is a series of tournaments that tier up to the Bassmaster Classic and the Bassmaster Elite Series. It is divided into two divisions with four tournaments in each division.

The Opens serve as a proving ground for aspiring pros, and in 2026, the trail will once again deliver a diverse slate of fisheries, from Florida grass lakes to Northern smallmouth waters. The stakes are high—the Opens offers competitors a pathway to qualify for the Nitro Boats Bassmaster Elite Qualifier Series (EQs) presented by Bass Pro Shops and ultimately the upper echelon of tournament bass fishing: the Progressive Bassmaster Elite Series.

This is the tour’s only 2026 stop in Florida and on the Kissimmee Chain, which is world-renowned for its bass fishing.

Opens champions have gone on to make their mark on the Elite Series and the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Classic presented by Under Armour. Easton Fothergill is the ultimate example. The young Minnesota pro won two Opens events in 2024, qualified for the Elite Series and then won the 2025 Bassmaster Classic.
