The 148th Silver Spurs Rodeo saw great postpandemic crowds at Osceola Heritage Park.
The rodeo saw crowds reaching arena capacity each of the three days, and they were fully entertained by Spurs’ rodeo clowns, Quadrille horsemanship, and of course the best rodeo cowboys and cowgirls the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and Barrel Horse Association had to offer. The ropers and riders earned over $100,000 in prize money and points toward the National Finals Rodeo.
The rodeo’s opening act never got in a saddle but was one of the biggest hits. Gov. Ron DeSantis talked of “absolutely keeping these traditions alive” in one of “Florida’s most dynamic counties, in the free-est state in the United States.”
