Many families are choosing to give back this season, rather than give to one another. There are several local organizations in the area that are always dedicated to volunteering their time to those in need – such as the Mustard Seed of Central Florida.

Drive-thru Toy Drive is St. Cloud goes in full gear

About $35,000 was raised. Almost $4,000 in gift cards were collected. And over $2,000 toys donated. One could say that the We Dare 2 Care’s Drive-Thru Toy Drive was nothing less than amazing at Shamrock Autobody in St. Cloud on Nov. 14. “It was just overall a good day,” said Mike Reilly Sr.

150 Kissimmee families get turkey dinners for Thanksgiving Day

Like many others, it’s been a tough time for Kissimmee resident Elisa Hernandez. She was just one of many who waited in line in her vehicle to receive a Thanksgiving meal on Nov. 18 behind Kissimmee City Hall.

Christmas spirit was alive and well a little early at Joshua Stevens NSDAR chapter’s Nov. 14 meeting at Kuppa Thyme Tea Room & Gift Shop in St. Cloud. Attendees volunteered to write hundreds of Christmas cards to service men and women. The first 100 will be sent to the USS Nimitz Carrier Group.
