Barrels, detour signs and a whole lot of dirt. Work crews are improving roads around Osceola County, creating conditions drivers should be on the lookout for. Here's some in a nutshell as announced by the county:
- Beginning Monday, June 1, motorists will see a new traffic pattern at the intersection of Boggy Creek Road and Narcoossee Road as part of the ongoing Boggy Creek Road Widening and Improvement Project. Traffic will shift into a split configuration, with travel lanes operating on both the north and south sides of the roadway while crews work in the center median. This temporary pattern is expected to remain in place for approximately three weeks.
- Expect a road closure on Lake Vista Drive at Boggy Creek Road, this week from June 1-5 for base installation work. Use Great Oaks Boulevard as a detour.
- There will be intermittent nighttime lane closures on northbound and southbound Pleasant Hill Road and West Southport Road at Poinciana Boulevard from through Tuesday, June 9 as crews will be milling, paving and installing signage.
Note that ChampionsGate Boulevard under I-4 will again be closed overnight on Monday, June 1 from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., and the I-4 eastbound ramp to westbound 192 will close from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Use the World Drive exit prior to 192 to access west 192
