  The city of Kissimmee will reopen the application process for rental and mortgage assistance on Nov. 30 at 8 a.m. to assist qualifying households who have been affected by COVID-19 and are now unemployed or underemployed.

Poinciana drug deal gone wrong leaves one man dead

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two men for first-degree murder after a drug deal went wrong in Poinciana, leaving one man dead. The Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating 18-year-old Tarmetris Daniel Mack and 17-year-old Alfred Higgs, Jr.

 The fifth annual Utility Scam Awareness Day was Nov. 18, supported by a weeklong advocacy and awareness campaign—Utility Scam Awareness Week—focused on exposing the tactics scammers use to steal money from utility customers and on educating customers on how to protect themselves.
