Recently, the Osceola County Association of Realtors recognized longtime member and 2020 President Joe Johnson as Realtor of the Year, the organization’s top honor. Johnson was selected from a task force of his peers.

Skydiving Experience is preparing for takeoff

A new attraction in Osceola County’s West U.S. Highway 192 tourist district is preparing to take flight. The Skydiving Experience will be located on the south side of West U.S. 192, 3.9 miles west of World Drive. No address has yet been assigned to the site, but it is approximately 8526 West U.S.

Flash Gordon is coming to Kissimmee

Coliseum of Comics has announced that it will be hosting an appearance on Friday, March 12, by actor Sam J. Jones. The film and TV actor is best known for playing the title role of Flash Gordon in the 1980 Dino De Laurentiis space opera opposite Brian Blessed, Max von Sydow and Timothy Dalton.

Kissimmee man hit, killed trying to cross John Young Parkway

A Kissimmee man was hit and killed by a vehicle when he tried to cross John Young Parkway early Saturday morning. According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, a 42-year-old man, of Poinciana, was driving a sedan-type vehicle westbound on John Young Parkway in the center lane at about 2:36 a.m.

Gatorland welcomed David, the “Lake Michigan Alligator,” to his new forever home. David is the famous alligator who was discovered in October 2018 floating with his mouth taped shut in the frigid waters of Waukegan Harbor 35 miles north of downtown Chicago.
