Kissimmee mayor finds partnership to help homeless

Helping the homeless is near and dear to Kissimmee Mayor Olga Gonzalez’s heart and that is just what she did when a cold front came to Kissimmee last month.
With a capacity of 200 doses a day, the free walk-up site with no appointment needed, will be run by Curative under the direction of the Florida Department of Health in Osceola County and the Osceola County Office of Emergency Management.

65th Infantry Veterans Park in Buenaventura Lakes will host a COVID-19 vaccination site beginning Thursday (March 25). “This site is vital to ensure more Osceola residents get vaccinated,” said Osceola Commissioner Viviana Janer.

Osceola Sheriff's Office still searching for homicide suspects

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is still asking for the public’s help to find suspects in a February homicide. On Feb. 2, at 12:30 a.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a call after shots were fired in the vicinity of Westside Boulevard and Monaco Boulevard, near the Four Corners area.
The documentary takes the viewer to Mt. Peace Cemetery, Fisk Funeral Home, Veterans Memorial Library and the Coble’s Garage mural on Handyman Hardware’s building so that they can learn about the location, how it contributed to the city’s history and then each marker will be unveiled.

Historic dinner and a documentary in St. Cloud

Over the past year, St. Cloud Main Street added two historic state markers, one national historic marker, and a historic mural to the downtown area.  Due to the global pandemic, Main Street was unable to unveil the new additions through public ceremonies.
