ORMC nurses: Working conditions aren’t safe

Nurses at Osceola Regional Medical Center staged a rally Thursday to make the public aware of the conditions they continue to work in. The rally — not a walkout, as those who demonstrated were not on-shift at that time — was organized by the National Nurses Organizing Committee.

The annual Mecum Auction got off to a roaring start this past weekend, with attendance at near capacity for the Osceola Heritage Park venue last Saturday and Sunday, and attendance has remained high throughout the week. And it's not over.

A 38-year-old Kissimmee man was killed this morning in a single-car accident when his car plunged into a retention pond at Pleasant Hill Road and Grenada Boulevard, Florida Highway Patrol is reporting.
