With forecasts predicting a low temperature Saturday night into Sunday morning near 30 degrees with wind chills in the low 20s -- the first freeze Osceola County has seen since January 2018 -- cold weather shelters will be available overnight at several sites this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Antibody clinics, including St. Cloud, now closed

Calling it more of a “stand-by holding pattern” than a shutdown, the monoclonal antibody treatment center at the St. Cloud Civic Center closed Tuesday to patients. Osceola County emergency management and health department officials both confirmed the site is closed “until further notice.

Osceola County Schools needs bus drivers -- 'Desperately'

The problem, and the need created, is evident on the side of Osceola County roads. It shows in students waiting at bus stops for over an hour, as drivers have to double or sometimes triple-up routes to the same school.

Records shattered at Kissimmee Mecum Auction

By a large number of measures, the Mecum Auction that wrapped up Sunday at Osceola Heritage Park easily beat most existing company and industry records.

Two KUA line crews head north to aid winter storm power restoration

Hope you packed your Long Johns, boys. As Winter Storm Jasper hits the Mid-Atlantic right on the heels of Winter Storm Izzy, two line crews from Kissimmee Utility Authority headed out to Myrtle Beach, S.C. Thursday morning to provide mutual aid to area utility company Santee Cooper.
