UPDATE: The advisory issued to Harmony area customers Monday has been lifted. Customers are no longer advised to boil their water prior to consumption.

UPDATE: Kissimmee Police Department reports the student found with the gun has been taken into custody. A report of a weapon on the Osceola High campus forced that campus and a nearby elementary school and YMCA to go on lockdown early Friday afternoon.

Osceola County has announced a number of side streets along Bordeaux Road in Poinciana are scheduled for road resurfacing, beginning Monday. Work is scheduled through Feb. 9 on those streets near Chestnut Elementary School.

Former City of Kissimmee Attorney Don Smallwood, who served the town he grew up in for over three decades in that role, passed away Thursday at the age of 68, the city has reported.

Kissimmee bus driver damaged Polk video system, arrested Polk County Sheriff ’s deputies have arrested a Kissimmee man for allegedly damaging the video surveillance system on more than one occasion. Vernorris Rambow, 47, was arrested over the weekend and charged with felony criminal mischief.
