The Florida Press Association announced the nominees for its 2021 Weekly Newspa per Contest, and the Osceola News-Gazette was well represented. Your local paper received nine nominations for awards in reporting, layout and overall excellence categories.

We’ll get right into it: Osceola County Meals on Wheels needs your help. The COVID-19 pandemic hurt in a number of ways. It more than doubled the number of elderly who were shut in by the lockdown pandemic and not able to go out grocery shopping.

Florida Lieutenant Governor Jeanette Nuñez has announced the launch of the 2022 Florida Space Art Contest.

Kissimmee UCF Incubator helped businesses through trying time

Many local businesses have had a rough go of the last two years thanks to pandemic-related circumstances. In Kissimmee, some of those local businesses have had the backing of a UCF-based partnership to help keep them afloat, and some even saw great success during the COVID-19 shift.
