The Osceola County School Board has voted to revoke the charter of American Classical Charter Academy, starting a 90-day process for the school to address its financial and regulatory situations and remain open.

Video shows arrest Tohopekaliga High employee lifting student against wall and shove him

A campus monitor at Tohopekaliga High School, who had only been on campus for a week, has been arrested after police allege he threw a student against a wall and down over his language. Christopher Ferguson, 28, was arrested Monday and charged with child abuse without great bodily harm.

Osceola County’s state legislative contingent came home after passing some key legislation and the largest budget in state history that included key appropriations. But, the work’s not finished — there’s a special session in two weeks.

WEDNESDAY UPDATE: A jury of eight women and six men has been picked in the murder trial of Anthoty Todt, the man accused of killing his wife, three children and family dog in their Celebration home in early 2020. The trial will begin Monday at 9 a.m.

If you do business with one of the local Chambers of Commerce … notice anything different? The Kissimmee/ Osceola County Chamber of Commerce released the results of a two-year rebranding initiative. It is now known as the shorter, simpler “The Osceola Chamber,” complete with a new logo.
