Summer is right around the corner. The School District of Osceola County’s 2024 summer school programs offer learning opportunities when school is not in session.  There are several in the Poinciana area.  The registration window closes Monday, April 29.

Labor Day weekend’s horrific vehicular homicide has led to some changes coming forth in Poinciana. Currently, electronic signs have been posted at the intersection of San Miguel Road and Laurel Avenue, which will soon become a four-way stop.

Cypress Parkway getting re-surfaced next week — here's where

Starting Tuesday, a busy stretch of Cypress Parkway is tentatively scheduled for resurfacing. The work will happen from Doverplum Avenue east to the bridge over Reedy Creek.  The work will be done, weather permitting, nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Arrest made in Feb. 16 Poinciana road rage shooting

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a road rage-inspired Poinciana shooting. Anthony Falu, Jr., 20, was arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder, aggravated assault, carrying a concealed firearm and discharging a firearm in public.
