Jean Galindez of Kissimmee, Florida joins the thousands of alumni who proudly wear The Citadel class ring, the mark of graduating from the military school in Charleston, S.C.
Galindez was one of more than 550 cadets, active duty and veteran students from the Class of 2022 celebrated during the Ring Presentation Ceremony on Oct. 1, after marching into Summerall Chapel, where the rings were presented. One of the very first acts the cadets performed after receiving their rings was to salute The Citadel War Memorial - marching by in rows of four - as they left the Chapel.
In addition, Brian Beck of St. Cloud was named to the summer 2021 quarter Dean’s List at Palmer College of Chiropractic’s Florida campus in Port Orange, and Carlos Gomez of Kissimmee graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic degree on Sept. 24.
ALL OSCEOLA STUDENTS GET OSCEOLA LIBRARY LINK ACCESS PASS
Through a partnership between the Osceola County School Board and the Osceola County Board of County Commissioners, all Osceola County students enrolled in grades K-12 can automatically access the Osceola Library System with their student school ID number to check out and stream books, movies, music, research, and more.
As part of the new Osceola Library Link (OLL) Access Pass program, students will have the option to make use of all online or in-person resources in the county’s public libraries without an application or library card.
Students will use the letter “S” followed by their seven digit student school ID number as their OLL Access Pass. The required PIN is the student’s birth year.
For convenience, students are able to return materials to their school library or a local Osceola branch library.
