The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has scheduled the following closures to support ongoing construction activities for the Moving I-4 Forward Program. Nightly intermittent lane or road closures will be in effect in either direction along Interstate 4 (I-4) throughout the duration of the Program. Here are the upcoming closures:
ChampionsGate Boulevard under I-4, full closure
June 22-26, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
As crews complete a bridge demolition, drivers will use eastbound County Road 532, Lake Wilson Road, Ronald Reagan Parkway and Goodman Road to go from I-4 East to 532 West into ChampionsGate.
I-4 West to State Road 429 (exit 60)
June 22-26, 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Drivers will pass 429 and take Exit 58 (C.R. 532), make two lefts to get on I-4 East to access 429.
FULL CLOSURE: I-4 westbound at World Drive
June 29-30, 12-5 a.m.
Drivers will use the exit lanes on the right for S.R. 417, then stay in the left lane to use the ramp lanes to return to I-4.
FULL CLOSURE: All lanes of I-4 eastbound from World Drive to U.S. 192 and the I-4 eastbound off-ramp to State Road (S.R.) 417 northbound (Exit 62B)
June 21-22, June 25, June 29, 12-5 a.m.
Eastbound traffic will exit at World Drive and head north to U.S. 192, then make a right to use the 192 interchange to return to I-4. Drivers heading to 417 stay on 192 past I-4 and turn right on Celebration Avenue to the 417 ramp there.
Remember to be alert for changing conditions in these areas ... and that it will eventually get better with expanded roads!
