ST. CLOUD NEWS — Earth Day and blueberries

Creative Inspiration Journey School (2030 Old Hickory Tree Road) presents and Earth Day Celebration – Community plant swap on Saturday, April 18 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. For the community plant swap, bring a plant, cutting, seed packet or succulent for exchange. There will also be a plant sale and a petting zoo complete with goats, chickens and bunnies.

 

The City of St. Cloud, Toho Water Authority and AdventHealth present Movie in the Park – Happy Feet. This free family event takes place on Friday, April 17 at the St. Cloud Lakefront Park. Games, activities and giveaways start at 6:30 p.m. with the movie beginning at 8. Free popcorn will be available. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating . Double C Bar Ranch, (4200 N. Canoe Creek Road), Blueberry 2026 U-Pick is now open the Saturdays through May 9 from 9 a.m. to 4and Sundays through May 3 from 12-4 p.m. p.m. There are 30 acres of blueberries, the ranch’s own beef burgers on an oak fire, fresh cut curly fries, fresh squeezed lemonade and fried blueberry pies. This is also a farm store, one-hour trolley tours around the ranch, kids sand box/play area and games. Enjoy this seasonal treat.

There will be a virtual meeting to discuss the planned widening of Canoe Creek Road on Wednesday, April 29 and an in-person meeting on Thursday, April 30 at the St. Cloud Community Center at 5:30 p.m. Project personnel will discuss the planned four-lane widening of Canoe Creek Road from the future Southport Connector Expressway to Deer Run Road, a 4.4-mile segment.
