Hopkins Heroes’ Back to School Bash is this Saturday, Aug. 9. To participate in their clothing drive, drop off old uniforms for the school uniform swap at Nutrition Zone, 1100 Massachusetts Ave. or Hopkins Park, 620 E. 17th St. Pick-up is also available, contact Stephanie Gilbert at 407-709-7394 or email Hopkinsheroes24@gmail.com.

Enjoy free lunch, free haircuts, face painters, music and bounce house. His is a fun way to end your summer break. Parents must show proof of St. Cloud residency at on-site event registration.

El Maldito Barbershop is holding a Back to School event on Saturday, Aug. 9 at 2005 Hickory Tree Road. The event features raffles, school supplies, giveaways, food and a guest DJ. For each student haircut a raffle ticket will be issued. The raffle is for a 70inch TV and a tablet.

The 2025-2026 Back to School Meet the Teacher event in Osceola County is this week. All Middle and K-8 Schools will host from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 7. All Elementary Schools will host Meet the Teacher from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8.

Calling all teachers! Crust and Crumbs Social House, 1108 10th St., presents Battle of the Teachers on Friday, Aug. 8 at 8 p.m. Bring your fellow educators to represent your school for a night of fun, food and friendly competition. The school that brings the most teachers wins big. 10% of the night’s proceeds will go back to your school.

Bringing Classrooms to Life One Gift at a Time! Submit teacher nominations with a purchase at any participating downtown St. Cloud business through Saturday, Aug. 9. All nominated teachers will be put into a drawing to receive Amazon gift cards and prizes. One teacher will have their Amazon wish list cleared (up to a $200 value). Raffle drawing will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9. Amazon gift card donations may also be made. The day will also be filled with various in-store teacher specials.

Participating downtown businesses are: East Row Market, Southern Roots Antiques, Savvy Sweets, Sweet Spot Sno Balls, Amaryllis Hair Salon, 34 Fireflies and Island Cloud Grill.

 

Spanish for Beginners takes place on Saturday, Aug. 9 from 10-11 a.m. at the St. Cloud Library. Learn basic conversational phrases that will help you communicate in Spanish on a daily basis. This event is presented by Jaime Gonzalez.

American Sign Language for Beginners takes place on Monday, Aug. 11 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Learn the basic skills required to begin conversation with deaf and hard of hearing people. Taught by deaf instructors, students will learn to carryon and everyday conversation with deaf people. This is a four-week course presented by ASL Services. Registration is required. Learn Powerpoint basics on Wednesday, Aug. 13 from 1011:30 a.m. Transform your ideas into impactful presentations using Powerpoint’s features to structure content and deliver your message with clarity.

All Library programs are free and open to the public. The St. Cloud Library is located at 810 13th St.

 

The City of St. Cloud’s 2025 Business Connect Expo is slated for Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the St. Cloud Community Center.
