His legacy is a light, and even on a chilly, blustery day Saturday, the light of Martin Luther King’s effects on the community were on display at the City of Kissimmee’s annual Unity event. Folks gathered at Lakefront Park to sing, speak, pray and play—but most of all, they came together as one community, just as Dr. King envisioned. On Monday, join in the National Day of Service, at Hopkins Park in St. Cloud from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help clean up the neighborhood, replant and refresh the community garden and beautify the Park, or at 10 a.m. at Morningstar Storage at 1751 Ball Park Road in Kissimmee for Children Athletes & Artists Involved in Recreational Events (CAAIRE) for Art in Action, for a day filled with creativity and inspiration.
