Wishes and prayers for 2025's arrival

It seems like last week that I wrote to you about the previous year. Is it me or does time seem to go faster and faster?

As we put a bow on 2024 and move excitedly on to ’25, here is a short list of hopes, wishes and prayers for you in the coming year.

May you sing, “Let it Go!” to last year’s shortcomings. There are always moments where we would like to have a “do-over.” Maybe a relationship was difficult, some news unsettling, or a spoken word we’d like to forget. Facing and forgiving ourselves is the hardest challenge we have but easily the most liberating when finished. Learn from it and then sing like Elsa at the top of your lungs, “Let it Go, Let it Go…” May you be at peace with the plans you’ve made. Goals are great and we should set them, but simply striving to be the best we can possibly be is more than enough.

May you have clarity as you approach the program of work you’ve created for this year. Sometimes the noise around us can be deafening so here’s to moments of quiet even if we have to schedule them at our favorite get-away.

May you find favor in the coming year. Not every success comes from hard work or minute planning. Now and then we experience blessings that we didn’t anticipate or necessarily deserve.

May you pay it backward or forward, or both. Our successes, most often, don’t happen alone but with the help of so many others who work with us. I hope you find the moments to recognize those who have made a difference in your life. Conversely, may we all make deposits into the lives and careers of those who may need the same boost we received.

May you share the moments. As 2025 hurtles its way down the same path as 2024, I wish for you to find moments to share, care, pray, recover, reconnect and rejoice. Then, 12 months from now, let us all look back in gratitude for a year well lived.

From the entire St. Cloud Chamber family, Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing you soon.
