6 P.M. UPDATE -- Welp, the NHC track moved back a bit north. It's that black line. The 'H" at bottom left is Winter Haven, a Category 1 hurricane. It should stay a hurricane along this path that will take the CENTER, just the center, near Poinciana and to the south of St. Cloud. Regardless, expect wind gusts up to hurricane strength (80 mph or so) out of the SOUTH and SOUTHEAST through the overnight and early morning hours. The wind will shift to out of the NORTH and NORTHWEST after daybreak, and stay brisk through a good portion of Thursday.
The good news is we may be entering about a 2-hour break from the rain. The bad news is the wind is going to pick up.
Brace yourself, folks.
