Summer programs are coming to an end with a treat. Camp iREAD: Ice Cream Social takes place today, Aug. 1 at 6 p.m. This end of summer party is a sweet way to wrap-up the Camp iREAD program.

Friday, Aug. 2 from 10-11:30 a.m. E.S.O.L. for Beginners is in session. This program is for ages 19 and up and helps you become more familiar with the English language Chair Yoga for Beginners and Seniors happens on Monday, Aug. 5 from 10-11 a.m. Explore the benefits of chair-based exercises regardless of age or experience.

Calling all crafters! The Crafty Crew meets on Monday, Aug. 5 from 1-3 p.m. If you are into knitting, crochet, cross stitch, quilt, scrap booking or any other portable craft, gather your supplies and head on over. Then, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. is Discovering Marilyn Monroe. Celebrate her life on the anniversary of her death. Starting with her early days to her now iconic films Some Like It Hot and Gentleman Prefer Blondes, a documentary will be presented.

Central Florida Business Networking Group meets at the Library on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 9-10:30 a.m. Share ideas and receive support from professionals representing a variety of local businesses.

Also on the 6th, Professor Adam Simon presents A.I. for Seniors and Beginners from 10 to 11 a.m. Learn about A.I. and how it can be used in every-day life.

At 11 a.m. stay for History Recalls: Hiroshima, a documentary presented by Slice History. Learn the details and the repercussions of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima on the anniversary of this sad day in history.

Are you smarter than a Librarian? This is the topic on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 6-7 p.m. Test your knowledge and skills in this game show style program. Discover the art of designing handmade greeting cards on Thursday, Aug. 8 from 10-11:30 a.m. Creative Card Making will be presented by local crafter Linda Jemmett. Supplies will be provided. Plot Twists: True Crime Time takes place on Thursday, Aug. 8 from 1:30-3 p.m. Join in each month and discuss the latest in cold cases and true crime. Register in advance to receive a case file filled with resources to help you prepare for the discussion. This month’s True Crime Time case is Amanda Knox. The City of St. Cloud will hold a Building Department Stakeholder meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 2 p.m. This quarterly event is for residents, homeowners and contractors to share information and receive feedback. Participants can learn about permit reviews, processing and building inspections.
