In the city of Kissimmee, residents can text “KISSIMMEE” to 888777. Additionally, Residents can receive location-specific alerts for up to five addresses via text message, phone call, or email. This service can be accessed through Kissimmee.gov/AlertKissimmee. Existing account holders can modify their settings by logging in.

City Manager Mike Steigerwald emphasizes the importance of preparedness.

“While we hope for the best, it’s crucial that residents in our community are prepared for potential storms,” he said. “By taking proactive measures now, we can mitigate risks and help ensure the safety and well-being of our community.”

Osceola County offers its “Alert Osceola” text service; to sign up text “AlertOsceola” to 888777, or visit http://alertosceola.org. It provides critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons and evacuations of buildings or neighborhoods. When you sign up, you have the option to subscribe to General Information from Osceola County sources, including messages from County Commissioners.
