Sources say airboat hit a sandbar in C-31 canal
Osceola County Fire Rescue EMS is reporting injuries from an airboat crash on a canal that connects Lake Tohopekaliga to East Lake Toho.
Thus far, they are reporting eight people were transported to local hospitals after rescue crews responded to Partin Triangle Park off Neptune Road. Sources say the boat hit a sandbar in the C-31 canal.
There is no information yet as to who owned or operated the boat. Florida Fish and Wildlife Management, the Coast Guard, Osceola County and the St. Cloud Police Department were among the responding agencies.
