A Cessna C150 aircraft practicing landings at Kissimmee Gateway Airport crash just south and west of downtown, injuring its two occupants.
Police and fire crews responded to the crash in heavy brush along Clay Street near John Young Parkway just after 3 p.m. Saturday.
An initial report said the plane's pilot was practicing touch-and-go operations at the airport before crash in the woods, but the National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Authority have already taken over the investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
According to the Kissimmee Fire Department, fire, Kissimmee Police and Osceola County Sheriff's Office units were needed to navigate the heavy brush the plane went down in.
