The City of Kissimmee has announced its Bob Makinson Aquatic Center will open for the summer season on Saturday, Mary 24.The opening weekend will include Sunday and Memorial Day on Monday, and the center will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission is $5 per person, payable at the gate.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office reports it's made an arrest in a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday in Poinciana.Jovaniel Lopez-Marrero, 21, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. He's been booked intothe Osceola County Jail without bond, jail records show.

St. Cloud City Council approved a fourth budget amendment for this fiscal year, allocating $3,230,900 in additional funds for various City projects. The funds come from prior-year savings, state and federal grants, and higher-than-expected fees from new development.

Family’s CPR key to Kissimmee responders saving a life

Kissimmee residents Tanya and Grace Walter saved a life by doing something simple.They knew CPR. Because of that, they were able to start the “chain of survival” and help Robert Walter survive a cardiac episode. Their quick thinking kicked off an opportunity to save his life.
