County unveils plans to make Michigan Avenue safer

While Michigan Avenue provides Kissimmee drivers direct access to Osceola Parkway and in turn Florida’s Turnpike and access to roads like State Road 417 and 528 and Interstate 4, it comes at a compromise to the safety of those who walk or bike it and have to eventually cross it.

The public will get an opportunity to meet and greet Kissimmee's new police chief Tuesday night prior to his official swearing in.The city has moved its regular 6 p.m. Commission meeting to the Kissimmee Civic Center on Dakin Avenue, and will hold a reception starting at 5 p.m.
