Woman arrested following stabbing after pizza delivery; male suspect still at large

A woman has been arrested, and a male suspect remains at large, in a stabbing incident Sunday at a Kissimmee hotel.

Brianna Alvelo, 22, was arrested Monday and charged with home invasion with a firearm, attempted murder, kidnapping and aggravated assault.

This comes after Osceola County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a home invasion at the Riviera Motel on east U.S. Highway 192 near Florida's Turnpike, and found a victim who was stabbed multiple times. The victim was transported to a local hospital and was reported in stable condition Wednesday morning.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit identified Alvelo as a suspect after it was discovered the victim ordered pizza from a local restaurant earlier in the evening and Alvelo became upset about the amount of tip she received after delivery. Deputies say Alvelo later returned to the victim’s room with an unknown male suspect, who was armed with a firearm, and forced their way into the room. Alvelo, who was armed with a knife, attacked one of the victims, stabbing them multiple times. Police also say  items were taken from within the room.

At this time the male suspect has not been identified. Anyone with further information to his whereabouts or regarding this incident is asked to contact Crimeline at (800) 423-8477.
