Two killed in Osceola I-4 crash Monday night

Two passengers in an SUV were killed in a crash on Interstate 4 late Monday night near the State Road 417 and World Drive interchange, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

Around 10:50 p.m., two vehicles were headed westbound. A sedan driven by a man from Davenport moved from the center to the right lane, into the right lane into the path of the SUV. The right  side of the sedan struck the left side rear of the SUV, which overturned, the FHP report said. Two female passengers, a 59-year-old from Wimauma and a 54-year-old from Riverview were ejected. One passenger was pronounced dead on scene, the other died at Celebration Hospital.

The drivers, a 28-year-old Davenport man in the sedan and the 65-year-old old Wimauma driver of the SUV received minor injuries, FHP reported.

The crash remains under investigation.
