Work continues on State Road 417 and 538 (Poinciana Parkway) expansion projects, and they will require the closure of some roads that lead north out of Osceola County that locals may use to get to Orlando and points north, or to Polk County to get to I-4 or Championsgate.
Here's the details:
Sunday night/Monday morning from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.: The ramp from Boggy Creek Road to northbound SR 417, for road work. Take Lake Nona Boulevard and follow the detour signs to the 417 entrance ramp there.
Tuesday through Thursday, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Northbound and southbound Narcoossee Road under SR 417 will be closed for road and bridge work. Northbound drivers will be directed to travel on SR 417 to Moss Park Road (Exit 23) and follow the detour signs. Southbound drivers will be directed to travel on SR 417 to Lake Nona Boulevard (Exit 19) and follow the detour signs. Tolls will be suspended for this detour.
On Poinciana Boulevard, Sunday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the ramp from southbound Poinciana to Marigold Avenue (Exit 9) will be closed overnight for road work. Drivers will be directed to KOA Street (Exit 11) and follow the detour signs.
Monday, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the ramp from Marigold Avenue to northbound Poinciana will be closed overnight for road work. Drivers will be directed to KOA Street and follow the detour signs.
Tuesday, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.: The ramp from southbound Poinciana to KOA Street (Exit 11) will be closed overnight for road work. Drivers will be directed to Cypress Parkway and follow the detour signs.
