How we saw the First Day of School in Osceola County

Moving nearly 80,000 students from one place to another with the help of bus drivers -- and parent drivers -- with some going to a brand new place ... it isn't easy.

Bound for glitches on the first day of school in Osceola County on Thursday, there were few. A couple buses ran a couple minutes late, and car lines spilled into traveled roads outside of some schools. The district's new cell phone policy went into effect, with a two-week grace period, but the calls of administrators rang out: "Phones away please, ear buds as well!"

The "production value" of school goes up dramatically from the first day or two into the next week; teachers and students will hit the ground running on Monday. For now, enjoy these glimpses into the First Day.
