The 6th Annual Rockin’ the Cloud, the city’s annual celebration to ring in the New Year, takes place in Downtown St. Cloud starting 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and goes into the first two hours of 2023.

This year’s event will offer three stages of live entertainment with performances from Maiden Voyage, Harlequin and the event headliner, The Supervillains. The countdown to midnight includes St. Cloud’s Cloud Drop to ring in 2023.

Event sponsors are OUC, The Reliable One, Toho Water Authority, The Garage Bar, Thee Dog House and Theater in the Cloud. For more information, contact St. Cloud Parks and Recreation at 407-957-7243.

But if Christmas is still first in your mind and heart, check out One Night in Bethlehem, a drive-through experience, on Friday, Dec. 16 and Saturday, Dec. 17 from 6-9 p.m. This free event, held at St. Cloud Church of the Nazarene (751 19th St.), is its gift to the community. This drive-thru presentation is a re-creation of the night Christ was born. A special narrative is provided to stream via QR code. This re-enactment is enhanced by over 80 people, all in costume, with live animals and all the sounds and smells of a bustling Bethlehem from the prospective of everyone from shepherds to wise men.

 

The City of St. Cloud Parks and Recreation presents a Holiday Movie in the Park (The Polar Express) on Saturday, Dec. 17, beginning at dusk, at Hopkins Park Community Center (620 E. 20th St.). Enjoy hot cocoa, cookies, popcorn and more. Bring a blanket or a chair.

Over the rest of the weekend, the city hosts Light up the Park Dec. 16-18 from 6-9 p.m. at Peghorn Nature Park (2101 Peghorn Way). Shop and eat at the Christmas Village. The admission is $5 per person online at https://bit. ly/3EUG6Qu.

The 3rd Annual Young Entrepreneurs Market takes place on Sunday, Dec. 18 from 1- 5 p.m. at Central Florida Fine Interiors (1200 Georgia Ave.). This event will also include guest appearance Q&A given by Triple Charm from 2-3 p.m.
