Senior Smiles Osceola is affordable and accessible dental services.  Senior Smiles will be in the Poinciana area on Tuesday, May 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Palos Verde (2050 Bellalago Dr.)

To make an appointment, call, 407-943-8600. You must be 55 or older (ID required) and an Osceola County resident.  Insured or uninsured seniors are eligible. Residents of Osceola County Commission district 3 are eligible for additional financial assistance. This program got its start last year in district 2 when Commissioner Viviana Janer helped spearhead it and is expanding to districts 3 and 4 with the help of Commissioners Brandon Arrington and Cheryl Grieb.

 

The Osceola Friends of the Library’s Book Sale takes place on Thursday, May 9 from 12-5 p.m., Friday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a great opportunity to restock your home library while supporting programs sponsored by the Friends of the Library.  Cash and credit cards are accepted.  For $4 fill a grocery bag size bag with books, $.25 for paperback and children’s books, $.50 for hardcover fiction and non-fiction.  You may also purchase a Friends of the Library bag for $2.

 

Create a Mother’s Day gift with Mom!  Ex Amino Creations and First Students Ministry presents Mom and Me Paint Night.  This fun night of bonding takes place on Saturday, May 12 from 6-8 p.m. at First Baptist Poinciana (401 Walnut St.)  The $35 per person fee includes materials, guided instructions and refreshments.

Bingo Game Show Night takes place on Friday, May 17 beginning 6 p.m. at the Anthony DePalma Event Center (395 Marigold Ave.). Poinciana Athletic Association presents Poinciana Summer Camp for ages 5-12 and the cost is $100 weekly.  This Monday to Friday camp begins June 3 and is from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily. Activities include outdoor activities, crafts, story-telling, movie days and water days.  The location for the baseball camp and the summer camp presented by Poinciana Athletics Association is the Poinciana Community Park, 5109 Allegheny Road.
