Osceola district keeps ‘B’ grade; 12 schools earn ‘A’

The Osceola County School District earned a ‘B’ overall district grade for the 2023-24 from the Florida Department of Education.Twelve county schools received ‘A’ grades, and a number of schools raised their grade from 2022-23.

A Gift for Teaching: empowering Osceola education one supply at a time

School Board stays course on mask mandate after emergency meeting

The Osceola County School District will maintain the 60- day mask mandate for students in elementary, middle and K-8 schools, which parents can still opt-out of tapproved at its last meeting on Aug. 17.

Osceola School Board votes to require masks for students through 8th grade thru Oct. 4 with opt-out clause

Tuesday night, late into a four-and-a-half hour meeting, the Osceola County School Board approved a mask mandate similar to one in place in Orange County that allows parents to opt-out their children in writing. The motion passed by a 4-1 vote, with Board member Jon Arguello voting against.
