For Osceola coach Eric Pinellas, it’s a simple proposition for his banged up Kowboys football team that will travel to South Lake (10-1) Friday night in a Class 6A regional semifinal playoff game. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

At the start of a sports season, you’re rarely looking backward.But, at Osceola High School’s gym Tuesday, on the night of the opening basketball game of the 2025-26 season, the Kowboys’ turned back the clock and honored a coach who helped author of the program’s greatest past success.

The defending National Women's Soccer League champions' season ended in the cruelest way possible Sunday afternoon. Jaedyn Shaw's free kick in the 97th minute gave NJ/NY Gotham FC a 1-0 victory over Orlando Pride in the NWSL semifinals, stunning a near sold-out Inter&Co Stadium into disbelief.

In School Day game, Osceola Magic win again

In front of a loud crowd of a couple thousand area middle schoolers, the Osceola Magic ran its record to 3-0 on the young NBA G League season with a 117-111 win over the Mexico City Capitanes in the rare 11 a.m. tipoff Thursday.
