Kissimmee SC takes win in first UPSL playoff game after clinching division title

Kissimmee Soccer Club, an entry in the United Premier Soccer League, recently wrapped up the UPSL spring season, and claimed the Florida Central title with a 12-0-2 record in which the club surrendered just six goals.

That record earned the team a spot in the UPSL Spring playoffs and opened with a 5-0 win over Bold City SC of Jacksonville Sunday at Showalter Field.

Elian Munoz, Anyelo Castellano, Santiago Fregote, Rodnny Gonzalez and Juan Felipe Parra scored goals in the win. The win moved the team on to the regional semifinals against OFC Barca on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Lake Mary High School.

The UPSL is s a National Affiliate member of United States Soccer Federation, and a National League within the larger United States soccer league system.

The team is coached by Joaquin Perez of Argentina and Yoger Aguilar of Venezuela, who have both coached professionally in CONMEBOL, the governing body of soccer in South America The UPSL fall season will begin in September and concluded with its national playoffs in December.
